John SHAY, twin brother of Thomas SHAY, entered the U.S. Navy on July 10, 1947. He served aboard the destroyer, U.S.S. Brinkley Bass, DD-887. John was discharged on June 21, 1950 with the rank of 3rd Class Petty Officer. He was awarded the Occupation of Japan-China Service Medal.
