This is the Family of Melcena TRIMBLE.
She taught school [illegible] and raised this family of nine children. She was Grandma LEDGERWOOD'S oldest sister and
was born October 20, 1833. 1. Grace; 2. Gill TRIMBLE; 5. Dave; 6. Guy; 7. Fred; 9. Frank
Beth NELSON writes, saying: "This was the property of relatives of my grandfather, Clyde Ledgerwood Calvert of
Macomb, Illinois. Melcena Trimble was his grandmother's oldest sister (Clementine Hill Ledgerwood). I think this photographs
was taken in Mount Ayr. As much as anything, I'd like to get the picture to surviving relatives. I think the house is really
neat. In rural Illinois we have lost many of our beautiful old rural homes."
