James GALLOWAY, son of William GALLOWAY (1784-1856) and Sarah (WHITE) (1786-1861), was born August 11, 1813, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and died at age 76 on September 1, 1889, Ringgold County, Iowa. James and Susannah MEEK married on April 23, 1845, Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Susannah MEEK, the daughter of Robert MEEK (1789-1878) and Esther (McCOMB) (1791-1871), was born in Tuscawarus County, Ohio, on November 29, 1822, and died at Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa, on April 5, 1903 at age 81.

James and Susannah were interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
