Bill and Dave held an endearing spot in the BRAMON and FOLAND families. Originally they worked the BRAMON farm northeast of
Delphos in Ringgold County, helping Fred B., Otto, and Cleo plant crops, harvest the fields, and anything else that was asked
of them. When Otto and Ruth were preparing to move to Idaho, Otto worried about what might happen to Bill and Dave should he take
them to the sale barn. Perhaps he had always admired the mules, it isn't known nor part of the family lore. But, seeing an
opportunity, my grandfather Homer FOLAND bought Bill and Dave. The team continued to faithfully do whatever was asked of them and, during
moments of leisure, patiently gave many a child a ride around the barn lot.
