JAMES E. LAMBERT FAMILY
James E. LAMBERT, youngest son of William and Mary HART LAMBERT, married Marie EASON, daughter of C. J. EASON, in
Lewiston, Montana. Marie had been a teacher in the township schools.For a few years they lived east of Maloy while
Jim and his brother Willie farmed the LAMBERT farm. Jim also worked as an auto mechanic. In 1918 they homesteaded
land near Jamestown, North Dakota. After two years of battling drought and grasshoppers, they returned to Maloy where
their daughter Mary Geraldine was born in November 1920. Their next move was to Ontario, California, where Jim was a
conductor on the Pacific Electric Railroad. A son James William was born to them there in 1926. Returning to Iowa
in the thirties, they again lived in Maloy. Jim was employed as a school bus driver until in 1935 he was appointed to
the Iowa Liquor Control Commission in Des Moines. They made their home there until Jim retired in 1946. They then
returned to Ontario where both passed away in 1963 (sic). James W. is living in Las Vegas at present [1987], and
Geraldine (Mr. Tom PETERSON) is retired from a clerical position at Massey-Ferguson and lives in Des Moines.
She has two children: Terry (Mrs. Craig DENNY) of Kansas City, and Tom of Minneapolis.
NOTES: James Edward LAMBERT, the son of William and Mary (HART) LAMBERT, was born January 27, 1893,
and died September 16, 1967, Pomona, California.
Marie Agnes (EASON) LAMBERT, the daughter of Conrelius "Neil" and Helen "Ella" (DONOVAN) EASON, was born August 12, 1894, and died
Feburary 14, 1967, Ontario, California. They were interred in Olive Section of Bellevue
Cemetery and Mausoleum [a.k.a. Bellevue Memorial Park], Ontario, San Bernardino County, California.
