The Waubonsie Tractor Club held their annual Plow Day on Saturday, Sept. 22. Using antique tractors hooked to various
sizes of old plows, club members plowed a field on the farm of John CAMPBELL. A highlight of the morning was the arrival
of a group of Amish men who hitched plows to their teams of horses to participate along side the antique tractors. After a
break for a home-cooked lunch served by members' wives, the drivers moved to the Don HOVE farm where they plowed another
field. The next event for the Waubonsie Tractor Club with be the antique tractor pull at the Waubonsie Center this
Saturday, Sept. 29. The pull begins at 10 a.m. with breakfast and lunch served on the grounds. There is no charge for the
pull.
