The Ed SHEIL family moved to Maloy in 1935. Their daughter Monica was born the following year. Ed worked on
various farms in the Maloy vicinity. Marea was Maloy's postmistress from 1939 to 1964.
Thomas Edward "Ed" SHEIL was born February 17, 1892, a Veteran of World War I, and died December 16, 1957. Marea (GROGAN) SHEIL was born in 1894
the daughter of Johanna Agnes (DAUGHTON) and Stephen John GROGAN, and died in 1979. They were interred at St. Mary's Cemetery, Maloy, Iowa.

SHEIL FAMILY REUNION
The descendants of Ed and Marea SHEIL will gather in Maloy on August 1st [2009]. Some 40 SHEILS from around the
country will meet up in Omaha and then travel together by bus to Maloy. Included in the group will be Ed and Marea's two
living children, John and Monica, along with some 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. While in Maloy, the
group will enjoy a meal at the Foxtown Music Hall, visit St. Mary's Cemetery, and look around the little town that Ed and
Marea called home.
