OBITUARY ~ LILES POTLUCK/NICHOLS LUNCHEON
This just in from the state fair. On Aug. 3 Debra and Jerry SOBOTKA hosted the annual LILES potluck at their home in
Van Meter. Those in attendence were June RINEHART and friend Lois BRAND TRIGGS of Mount Ayr; Iola and LeRoy WERNLI of Perry;
Dennis and Debra WERNLI of Woodward; Lesa and Mike JONES and Steven of Des Moines; Jenni GOOD and sons Dylan and Kaydon
of Creston; Andy and Missy WERNLI and Jordan and Landin and girls Albie, Jade and Shanna who live with them; Earl PICKENS of
Las Vegas, NV; Andrew EIDEN of Vermillion, SD; Ann ZISKOVSKY and sons Tony and Darren of Swisher; Lorraine and Daughn
REASONER of Mount Ayr; Diana and Bill CAIN of Red Oak; Mike SOBOTKA and Jacob, Summer and Robbie of Van Meter; Dana LAMONSKY and
Morghan, Taelor, Brady and Jackson of Altoona; Gay and Ed HIGHTSHOE of Creston; Lori FOLTZ, Ashley and Jessica of De Soto;
and Ronnie and Sue LILES of Des Moines. On Aug. 9 the NICHOLS cousins had their annual luncheon at the Iowa pork tent
at the Iowa State Fair. Those enjoying this were Mr. and Mrs. Brian NICHOLS of Bosie, ID; Mr. and Mrs. Dave ALTON of
Coralville; Mrs. Linda McNUTT and Mrs. Janet HALEY of Mount Ayr; Mr. and Mrs. Bill CAIN of Red Oak; Mrs. Gay HIGHTSHOE of
Creston; Mrs. Lori FOLTZ, Ashley and Jessica of De Soto; and the aunts, Mrs. Zoe NICHOLS of Des Moines and Lorraine
REASONER and Daughn of Mount Ayr. It was a lovely, good Iowa pork chop meal and fellowship.
