Haidsiak Family Reunion
The descendants of John F. and Anna C. HAISIAK met for their annual reunion on July 26 at the Blockton community hall.
It was a gala time with celebating Christmas in July including an exchange of recycled gifts. There were those who opted
to keep what they had and others who had fun trading (one member exchanged several times). One young person was so happy
with his, he planned to pass it on to his special friend while another wee person clumped around in her noon boots -- no
small feat for small feet! There were several prizes one -- Kenneth HANNA guessed the exact number in attendance, Mike
WALKUP guessed within five points the combined ages and Ann SCHLAPIA came within 10 points. Each received a prize. Amy
WHITTINGTON and Gladys STAUFFER drew the door prizes and several others won prizes all of which were in the recycled
category. The food was bountiful and so good complete with Susan CHESTNUT'S "made on the spot" homemade ice cream.
Vera asked the blessing and gave praise from whom all blessings come. Present were the families of:

Gladys STAUFFER of Castorville, TX. Frank - Carol DYKMAN of Bedford and Mary LONGE of Lincoln, NE.
Nina - Dan and Vicki SMITH and Jennifer of Council Bluffs and Rodger DUKES and Dorothy SLEEP of Bedford.
Wayne - Jean HAISIAK and George and Sherry HAIDSIAK of Clearfield, Jerry and Kay MILES of Bennington, NE, Troy
and Terri STEVENS, Grace and CHelsea BOLINGER of Altoona and Brian and Jamie HUMMER and Gunner of Indianola.

The next reunion will be July 25, 2010 at the Blockton community hall.
