On Saturday, August 10, 2013, the FOLTZ family reunion gathered at the Mount Ayr Senior Center. Peggy WAGENKNECHT welcomed everyone and gave the blessing before the bountiful potluck meal was enjoyed by 37 guests. After the meal Peggy lead with a poem and then asked everyone to introduce themselves and tell something about their lives and memories they had of their past which proved to be very interesting and brought back many memories.

Peggy then presented a gift to the one who had come the farthest. Then Elayna SHERER presented a gift to the one who had the most kids.

Those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Mike BURSTEIN of San Diego, CA; Mr. and Mrs. Larry HOPKEY of Albert Lea, MN; Mr. and Mrs. Bill PRITCHARD of West Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Josh REITMAN and Tyler of Hastings, MN; Elayna and Trentyn SHERER of Hastings, MN; Francis Schultz and Hazel FOLTZ of Des Moines; Rick SHULTZ of Johnston;

Amy SCHMIDT, Aydian and Camryn of Saint Paul, MN; Mr. and Mrs. Danny WEISS of Houston, TX; Peggy WAGENKNECHT of Mount Ayr; Barbara HALE of Orlando, FL; Linda FOLTZ of Waukee; Mary Lee FOLTZ and Elizabeth of Creston; Connie Ferguson of Baxter; Eliza BRENTON of Minneapolis, MN; and Mr. and Mrs. Phil FOLTZ, Mr. and Mrs. Clint POORE and Cain, Mr. and Mrs. Larry ADAMS, Tara SHIELDS, Lucille MAIN, Loraine LINK and Theola WEEDA of Mount Ayr.

A lot of pictures were taken along with a lot of visiting. All agreed to meet next year July 12, 2014 at the same place.
