The descendants for Hugh and Florence Davenport gathered on July 2, 2016 at the Diagonal Community Building. This was the first gathering we have had where there was no one from the generation of Hugh and Florence's children and spouses, Hubert (Yreva), Lee (Blevadean/Frances), Beva (Kenneth) and Dean (Betty).

The Morrow family were the hosts of this event. After an informative presentation about the Life Raft Group, Life Fest and GIST (the support group for the conference for and the type of cancer that Teena Petersohn had) and talking about the "Gift of Time," cake, ice cream and all the toppings were enjoyed by all.

Those attending were: Twila and Lowell Swartz, Terry and Mike Giles, Teena and Gary Petersohn, Erica, Dan and Ivan Hatfield, Karolyn McCain, Melody and Dennis Nordine, Lyn and Dea Davenport, Nathan, Jacie and Avery Davenport, Titus, Krista, Addison and Cambden Davenport, Brian and Marygrace Davenport, Sara, Chris and Dereck Riordan, Al and Claudia Davenport, Aaron, Jenifer, Olivia and Cooper Davenport, Doug Davenport, Corissa Davenport and Holly Little.

A 50th Anniversary tea set that had been used at Hugh and Florence's 50th wedding anniversary celebration and then passed to each child for hisher 50th anniversary was presented. It was decided to pass it through the next generation as each reaches their 50th anniversary.

After a fun afternoon of getting reacquainted, it was decided that Dean's family will host the Davenport reunion on July 7, 2018.
