In the year of 1885, James' mother Angeline wrote a letter to James' brother Theodore Scott BURNS (1844-1914), stating that James Ellis' health was not good. Angeline didn't say what kind of health problems James was experiencing. Two years later James Ellis BURNS died on June 1, 1887 at the age of 31 years.
