The annual BROWN reunion was held August 20 at the Ellston community building in Ellston. There were 70 in attendance with Berniece CARROLL being the oldest and Jordyn MONTAGUE, the youngest. Ed, Mary, Michelle and Lee BLAKENSHIP of Atwater, OH traveled the greatest distance. Karla BROWN and Jessica PLACKE won the door prizes.

There were two marriages, one death, three births and eight graduations reported.

Those in attendance were Reta, Larry and Tracy FREIHAGE, Janelle, Fred and Lauria STAATS and Marion CREVELING, all of Ellston; Kathy and Karla BROWN of South Dakota; David and Sharon ROBISON and Mark and Teresa DORNBUSCH of Altoona; Junior and Berniece CARROLL and Glenna BURKHART of Eldon; Bob and Verna MARTIN, Howard and Shirley MARTIN, Doris TODD, Lois IBBOTSON and Randell BROWN, all of Mount Ayr; Peggy and Jerry OVERHOLSER of Redding; Ethan and Beth ELLIOTT of Missouri; Mary HARRIS, Nate TAYLOR and Tony FREIHAGE, all of Grand River; Linda and Arlan BROWN of Indianola; Laurie and Brian ROBISON of Runnells; Mark, Jenniffer, Nicole and Jonathan OVERTON, Dwain BROWN, Mindy and Jim COLE and Doris and Richard GOLDNER, all of Des Moines; Leona BROWN, Nancyand Kya QVALE and Michael and Jonathan ANDERSON, all of Nevada; Rick and Judy LEHMAN of Glenwood; James and Felica NOVAK of Tingley; Ed, Mary, Lee and Michelle BLAKENSHIP, all of Ohio; George and LaRetta NOVAK and Scott MOORE of Creston; Linda and Victor BROWN of Estherville; Jessica, Jason, Makayla and Zoe PLACEK and Jordyn MONTAGUE, all of Nebraska; Gale BROWN of Neola, and Eric, Melinda and Dan FOLAND of Afton.

The 2012 reunion will be held the third Saturday in August at the same location.
