Brown Reunion
The annual BROWN reunion was held August 15, 2009 at the Ellston community building in Ellston. There were 70 in attendance
with Berniece CARROLL being the oldest and Ethan ELLIOTT the youngest. Traveling the greatest distance was Georgia WALTER
from Brazil, Ed and Mary BLANKENSHIP of Atwater, OH, and Heather HARTLE, Emily and Catilyn of Tacoma, WA. There were
two births, three deaths, five graduations and six marriages reported. In the afternoon cousin Mary Anna gave out
trivia questions for all to answer with the prize being a BROWN reunion t-shirt. Also cousin Berniece CARROLL and Mary BLANKENSHIP
gave out starts from Grandma BROWN'S lily that she had at the firm to all first cousins who were in attendance. Those
in attendance were Berniece CARROLL of Eldon; Junior CARROLL, Jason and Jessica PLACEK, Brittany, Zoie and Makayla of Lincoln,
NE; Vic and Linda BROWN of Estherville; Mary HARRIS and Nate TAYLOR of Grand River; Susan STEIN of Eagle Grove; George and
LaRetta NOVAK, Scott MOORE, Eric and Melinda FOLAND of Creston; Nancy QVALE, Ronda ANDERSON, Mike, Johnathan, Kya and Trent BASS
of Ames; Bob and Verna MARTIN, Doris TODD, Randell BROWN, Toni and Andy FREIHAGE and Ethan ELLIOTT of Mount Ayr; Carmen
and Brian FOLAND of Murray; Rita, Larry and Tracy FREIHAGE, janelle, Fred, Grand and Luria STAATS of Ellston; Dwain BROWN,
Mark and Jennifer OVERTON, Nicole and Jonathan, James and Nindy COLES, Brian and Laurie ROBINSON and Doris and Richard
GOLDNER of Des Moines; Gale BROWN of Neola; Daivd and Sharon ROBINSON of Altoona; Mary and Ed BLANKENSHIP of Atwater, OH;
Rich and Maureen FISHER, Jesse, Jacob, Ashlea and Emily and Karla and Katherine BROWN of South Dakota; Heather
Hartle, Emily and Kaitlyn of Tacoma,
WA; Georgia WALTER of Brazil; Barb CLARKE of Missouri and Linda and Arlan BROWN of Indianola. The 2010 reunion will be
held the third Saturday in August at the same location.
