LAFE COMBS
COMBS, Lafe, postmaster, Bedford, was born in Athens, Ohio, November 24th, 1856. In 1865 he came to
Iowa and located in Ringgold county, where he resided until 1868, when he came to Bedford. He was married in
Kirksville, Missouri, October 21, 1878, to Miss Addie WILSON, a lady of varied accomplishments. Mr. COMBS
was appointed postmaster November 14, 1877, and took charge of the office January 1 following, and since
that time has filled the position with credit and to the entire satisfaction of all.
