Last Will and Testament of Mary I. Tenney |

I,
Mary I. Tenney of the town of Montour, County of Tama and State of
Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind, do make, publish and declare
this to be my last Will and Testament, revoking all wills by me
heretofore made. Item One: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid as soon as can be after my decease. Item Two: I give devise and bequeath to my aunt Mrs. Harriet Trufant the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. Item Three: I give devise and bequeath to my cousin Mrs. Jane Roble wife of Wm. Roble, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. Item Four: I give devise and bequeath all the remainder of my estate real and personal property to the heirs of my uncle Corban Tenney, namely Oscar H Tenney, Mrs. Lucy Ovitt, Charles S. Tenney, George W. Tenney and Mrs Susan A. Doe, to be divided equally among them. Item Five: I hereby appoint George W. Tenney of Indian Village Township, Tama County Iowa, Executor of this my last Will and Testament. (signed) Mary I. Tenney Witnesses: On this 20th day of May 1896 the foregoing Instrument was in our presence signed and executed by Mary I. Tenney and by her declared to us to be her last will and testament and at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other we have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. Mary W. Stevens all of Montour, Poweshiek County, State of Iowa I, Frank Bechly, Clerk of the District Court in and for said County, do hereby certify that on this day at the January Term, A. D. 1907, of said Court, the Will and Testament in writing hereto annexed, and bearing date on the 20th day of May, 1896, was duly proved before and allowed by said Court as and for the last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of Mary I. Tenney, late of said County, deceased, and was by said court ordered to be recorded as such Will and Testament. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at my office in Montezuma, in said County, this 9th day of January A. D. 1907.
