Last Will and Testament of Ann M. Butcher |

I, Ann M. Butcher
of Deep River township, Poweshiek County, Iowa, being of sound mind and
memory do hereby make, declare and publish this my last will and
testament. Item I: Subject to the payment of all my just debts I hereby will and bequeath all the property of which I may die possessed of whatsoever kind or nature, or wheresoever situated, to my son Alfred M. Butcher. I make no provision for my other sons Omer and Almond because they have already received their just share of their father’s estate. Item II: I hereby appoint my said son Alfred M. Butcher, Executor of this my last and only will and testament, hereby exonerating him from giving bond for the faithful performance of his duties as such. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 17th day of June, 1891. (signed) Ann M. Butcher. Witnesses: A G. Butcher W. O. Butcher W. H. Palmer Jr. A. A. Sweet. On this 17th day of June, 1891 the foregoing instrument was in our presence, signed and executed by Ann M. Butcher and by her declared to us to be her last will and testament and at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other we have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. State of Iowa. Poweshiek County. I, Frank Bechly, Clerk of the District Court in and for said County, do hereby certify that on this day at the March Term, 1907, of said Court, the will and instrument in writing hereto annexed, and bearing date of the 17th day of June 1891, was duly proved before and allowed by said Court as and for the last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of Ann M. Butcher, late of said County, deceased, and was by said County ordered to be recorded as such will and testament. In witness whereof have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at my office in Montezuma, in said County, this 18th day of March, 1907. Frank Bechly, Clerk of the District Court. |
