Military Affairs (Serial Sets): Pensions, War Claims, and other items relating to the Civil War (Please limit your request to 1 ancestor that either served in the military for Iowa, or that owned a farm/business in Pottawattamie and may have filed a claim for damage/theft/unpaid bill by the military during the war. Provide the ancestors full name (first, middle or initial if known, surname) and the county they lived in (or their heirs if the ancestor had died). If it was a business, also include the business name and location. If records are found for your ancestor, I will send images of the pages of the report(s).
