Boomer Branch was the first RLDS Church in Pottawattamie County,
organized 2 June 1860 by Benjamin Leland, former LDS member.
There were 15 members at organization with John W. Roberts as
President, and George Wright, Clerk. The branch was disorganized
in 1876, and reorganized in 1893 as Hazel Dell.
