Postmarked May 12, 1912 at Des Moines, Iowa and addressed to Helen Schaefer, Moline, Ill., 4232 - 6th Ave. Message reads" That's me with a cross. Big time here. Going back tonight though. Gina(?)" Printed notation "? Drake Track". Lower right of the photograph contains a photography studio mark: A Child Grinnell Iowa. Langdon's List of 19th & Early 20th Century Photographers contains an entry for "Child, A. L., Grinnell, IA". If this game was held at Drake, as it appears from the handwritten message, then perhaps the visiting team was from Grinnell.
