Jacob Beaner
BEANER, JACOB - Carpenter and builder, was born in Pennsylvania on the 19th of June, 1839, and remained there until after he was educated. He then commenced farming and followed the same until the spring of 1859, when he learned the carpenter's trade. This he continued till Au- gust, 1862, when he enlisted in company I, One Hundred and Twenty-second Pennsylvania volunteers and served for nine months, when he was honorably discharged, then returned to his place of birth, continuing his trade, and in May, 1867, he came to this city and has since resided here, doing a good business. He has, on an average, six men employed daily. He was married in Pennsylvania, April 18,1867, to Miss Mary N. Lefevere. Their family consists of six children: Anna, Emma L., Frederick H.; Mary L., Jacob D. and Charles C.
