ROLFE
An enterprising incorporated town on Pilot creek, at the crossing of the C. & N. W. and the C., R. I. & P. Rys, in Pocahontas county, 11 miles northeast of Pocahontas the judicial seat, and 108 from Des Moines. It has 3 churches, a public school, 2 banks, hay presses, 2 hotels and 2 weekly newspapers, the Reveille and the Reporter. Ships grain, hay, livestock and produce. Daily mail stage to Pocahontas. Population, 700. Telephone exchange, Exp., Am, and U. S. Mail, daily. D. D. Day, postmaster
