Meadow No. 1 School Daze Memories from former students and teachers!
|
Memories of Meadow No. 1 Her teacher was Luella Peters Crocker who taught in Meadow No. 1 from 1938-1952. **For a treat every 2 weeks we baked potatoes in the bottom of our coal stove. Each student took turns bringing the butter. They were so good. **If we were naughty we had to stand in the corner with a brown paper sack over our heads. **We always had a Christmas play--acted out all 3 verses of "Silent Night". **At the end of the year we always had a big picnic and invited the parents. Some of the picnics were taped and fun to watch at a later date.
