1952 MARIENAU FAMILY HOLD REUNION IN LE MARS The sixth annual Marienau family reunion was held Aug. 17, at the Municipal park at LeMars with 113 members attending. A pot-luck dinner was served at noon. Visiting and singing were the main event of the afternoon. The officers elected for the coming year are: Velma Dreckman, sec’y, LeMars; president, Orville Schuldt, South Sioux City, Neb. At the close of the afternoon ice cream and cake were served. It was enjoyed by all. Horseshoe pitching and visiting preceded the business meeting. The present officers were selected to serve another year. They are: Wesley Holtdorf, president, Mrs. Velma Dreckman, secretary and Orville Schuldt, treasurer. The oldest member present for the occasion was Henry Marienau, Sr., of LeMars, and the youngest was Edward Petersen, 5 weeks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Petersen of Sioux City.
