LUBBEN REUNION HELD AUGUST 20  

A reunion of the Lubben family was held at the Municipal park Sunday, August 20, with 128 persons present.

Those attending were:  Mr. and Mrs. Herman Henrichs, Worthington, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. William Janssen and family of Willmer, Minn.; Mrs. Louise Ricklefs and Dennis, Brookings, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dirks and family, Melvin, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Jurgenson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Brunken and Herbert, of Struble.

A picnic dinner was served at noon.  The afternoon was spent visiting, swimming and playing games.

1953

LUBBEN REUNION

The annual Lubben family reunion was held at the New Deal Park on Sunday, August 30th.  A picnic dinner was served at one o’clock after which the group joined in various activities.  Some went swimming, some played horseshoe and the rest just visited.

Randall Renken, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Aug Meske, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meske, Yvonne and Vanita; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klemme and Elvira, all of Akron; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Lubben, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frerichs and Jim of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Brunken and Herbert, of Struble; Mr. and John Tammen, Rodney, Ardis, Janice, and Marilyn, of Craig;

At the close of the afternoon, lunch was served.  Mrs. Herman Brunken has been appointed chairman for 1954.

1954

Lubben FAMILY REUNION

A family gathering was held on Sunday afternoon, July 11, at the John Tammen home. The occasion was in honor of A-1C Virgil D. Tammen who just recently returned from 37 months of overseas duty in Germany and France.  Virgil is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tammen.

Honored guests also were A-2C and Mrs. Wendall Klemme and Cheryl Lynn, of Salina, Kansas.  A-2C Klemme is a nephew of the Tammens.

Those present for the afternoon were:  Mr. and Mrs. August Osterthun, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Klemme and Elvira, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meske and Yvonne, Mr. and Mrs. Arval Jurgensen and Joyce, all of Akron; also,

Mr. and Mrs. George Lubben and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frerichs of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lubben, Mike and Patty, Mrs. Ethel Lubben, Mrs. Mary Lubben, Esther, Carolyn and Carol Kuehn, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Renken and Jackie, all of LeMars.

The afternoon was spent visiting and taking pictures.  At the close of the afternoon, luncheon was served.

Virgil will report at Ft. Snelling, Minneapolis, on August 4.  Wendell reported back to Salina on July 19.

LUBBEN FAMILY REUNION

The Lubben family held their annual reunion at the home of Mrs. Gretha Oetken with Mrs. Oetken and Lawrence Oetken in charge of the arrangements.

There were 109 present and picnic dinner was served at noon.  The afternoon was spent in visiting.

LUBBEN REUNION

The late Albert and Phillip Lubben families held their annual reunion at Grant Twp church on July 12, 1959, with Mrs. G. Will Lubben in charge.
