Carl Albers was born 1865 July 12, in Puddenson Provinz, Hannover, Germany. His Uncle Christ Albers sent for him to come to the United States. He was just 16 years old. His Uncle lived on a farm near Holstein, Iowa. He worked awhile for him and also went to school at short time to learn to speak English. Carl Albers started to farm 5 1/2 miles south of Kingsley. He married Caroline Hopp September first 1893. |
