60th ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Elam Chapman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 28 at their home in Seney. The day was spent in family visiting and a luncheon was served by the children and grandchildren who were present on this memorable occasion.
Mary Elizabeth Alderson and Elam B. Chapman were married on December 28, 1893, at Seney. Attendants were Grant Chapman and Sadie Alderson. Rev. S.L. Sudduth read the vows. Six children were born to this union, four of whom are living.
Present for the 60th anniversary were their children, Marion Chapman, Earl Chapman, LeMars; Orville Chapman and Mrs. Orville Cooper, of Maurice. Other relatives included Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Alderson, Barbara and Richard and Carol Powell of Grand Island, Nebraska; Mrs. Ora Carr of Elgin, Nebraska; Irving Alderson of Plainview, Nebraska; Nina Carr of Omaha; and Mrs. Ralph Carpenter, Gene and Glenn of Plainview.
