Married September 5, 1933 -- Clara's words as she shared at the time of their 77th Anniv. in 2010:
"I was 17 in April and I graduated in May from high school. He proposed the Fourth of July and we got married in September. You didn't wait 7-8 months to plan a wedding in those days. It was a small wedding on Sept. 5, 1933, at the farm home of Delbert's parents." |
