LeMars Sentinel Tuesday, January 6, 1914 KINGSLEY: On Christmas day occurred the wedding of Miss Bertha Bainbridge to Mr. Mert S. Kelso. The wedding took place in the Congregational parsonage at three o’clock p.m. The pastor, Rev. Joseph Steele, officiating. The bride was beautifully gowned in white embroidered net over charmeuse. The groom wore the conventional black. The bride is quite well known to all in this vicinity as she was born, and grew to womanhood among us. Everyone speaks of her as an estimable young woman. She is the daughter of Joseph Bainbridge, living a few miles northwest of town. The groom was born in Newton, Kansas, but spent most of his life near Kingsley. He is a young man, possessing an able body, and sterling qualities. We predict a prosperous future for this worthy couple. WE are glad to learn they are to make their home in our midst. All will join the writer in extending to them a hearty welcome, and also wishing them success and happiness. |
