Baumgarten Farm gets electricity - about 1935. Walter Baumgarten on house with newly installed Windcharger. It was 6 volts and ran the radio and a few lights. "We later got a 32-volt Delco plant and later Iowa Power & Light [racing REA] extended service to this area."
