Enyart, Ernest E. -

Ernest E Enyart, 58, died Heights Manor at 12:05 am Friday at lingering illness, and after having been in the rest home for the past 11 days.
He was the son of LeRoy and Audie Belle Cain Enyart, and was born at Westboro, Mo. His entire lifetime has been spent in the Braddyville and Clarinda areas, his present home being at 616 N 16th St in Clarinda.
A truck driver, he worked for the Clarinda Oil Co, and later for Page County. He and his wife, the former Delia Mae Walter were married in Nebraska July 1, 1935.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Eldon Enyart of Clarinda, and Mrs Danny (Grace) Murphy of Queens Village, N Y; three brothers, John Enyart of Jacksonville, Fla, Bill Enyart and Don Enyart, both of Portland, Ore; three sisters, Waunita Enyart of Vancouver, Wash; Mary Louise Robertson of Aloha, Ore, and Darlene James, Portland, Ore; and his step-mother, Mrs Paul Bingham of Beaverton, Ore; A brother, Bob Enyart, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted from the Walker Funeral Home this Monday afternoon, with Rev H LaVern Kinzel in charge. Soloist was Maynard Burch, and organist was Miss Aletha Hutchings. Casket bearers were Wayne Campbell, Cliff Bales, Merlin Teuscher, Kenneth Fine, Max Moore, and John Swanson. Burial was in the Clarinda cemetery. CLARINDA HERALD-JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, 1970

 

Enyart, Billie Gene
Billie Gene Enyart was born the son of Ernest L. and Lucille (Sipes) Enyart on Thursday, July 25, 1929, in Braddyville, IA, and lived there until he was fourteen.
He and his family moved to Portland where he worked as groundsman for the Beaver Baseball Club. During World War II, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Iwo Jima for a year. After his honorable discharge, Billie worked for Doernbecker's Furniture Manufacturing from 1948 to 1952, then for the railroad a short time before going to work for Esco on October 9, 1952. He worked at Esco until retiring in January of 1991.
On September 24, 1954, Billie was married to Beatrice Skillman in Portland. They lived in Portland until moving to Dundee in 1972 and to Sherwood in March of 1979. He was a member of Sherwood Robinhood Elks Lodge No. 2342. After he retired, Billie and Bea enjoyed graveling and camping.

They made a trip to Iowa to visit family, and then to Memphis, TN and Branson, MO. Other favorite activities were fishing and collecting clocks.
On Tuesday, May 6, 1997, Billie Gene Enyart died at his home in Sherwood, OR when he was sixty-seven years, nine months, and eleven days of age.
Surviving are his wife of more than forty-two years, Beatrice, of Sherwood, a daughter, Pamela LaFountaine of Molalla, OR; one brother, Don Enyart of Milwaukie, OR; one sister, Darlene James of Beaverton, OR; two grandchildren, Scott and Lisa LaFountaine, both of Molalla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert, in 1969, and a sister, Mary Robertson, in 1990.
