CALUMET LEGION POST ORGANIZED
On May 3, returned veterans of World War II met and organized and American Legion Post at Calumet, Iowa. The Post will be called Vogt-Burns post, honoring the two local boys who made the supreme sacrifice.
The following officers were elected for the coming year: Commander, Harold Linnewah; vice commander, Harold Mugge; adjutant, Lester Thoms; finance officer, Carl Kruse; and sgt. at arms Harry Reibesell.
