Important - How to Obtain Probate Records

Probate Records for Madison County were begun in 1851. The information contained herein is an index to official records that reside at the Madison County courthouse from 1851 through 1947. They are broken into two segments, 1851-1924 and 1925-1947. Once you have found that your relative has a probate record on file, you may contact the Madison County Genealogical Society and arrange to have copies made for you.
