illness (Joseph Comp). Services conducted by Rev. Jackson Giddons of
Baptist Church assisted...Masonic service at grave. Farmed, home at Douglas
- Jackson Tp Line designated Comp's Corner - County Landmark. One of
founders of West Stone Methodist Episcopal Church. Came with wife to
Iowa Apr 9. 1869. Moved to Winterset Jan 15, 1909, left farm to be
carried on by sons. All children surviving living in vicinity.
