Farson Cemetery
On
September 26, 1879, Rebecca Spencer deeded land in Section 2 of Ohio township to the
trustees.1
The cemetery is considered "abandoned" since no new
burials are planned. There are four gravestones and at least one
known unmarked grave but with these early burial sites, there
could be several more unmarked burials. Three of the
gravestones are members of the Farson family, the oldest burial
date being 1854.
The last known burial took place in 1892.2
