Coleman writes, "I don't know who this couple is, but I think they have
some connection to the Mann families of Jones and Linn Counties. I am
guessing that this is a early photo as Levi Wilcox is listed as a
photographer in the 1862 Tax Payers list on your site. John Mann and his
daughter Easter (Esther Mann) Pugh were from the Lisbon area. I have
retouched the photo (cleaned it up) and when I was doing it, I noticed
that the man's eyes are strange. The pupils were very light so I edited
them. Now I am wondering because of the way his eyes appear to be
looking off someplace else, that the man might be blind. Maybe a Civil
War injury? Maybe just my imagination.
