WALCOTT | Charles | | (02/02/) 1872 | 87 yrs. Jan Joslin Medeiros writes:"Charles Walcott IS buried in Riverside Cemetery. He is buried in the same lot as his sister, my g-g-g-grandmother, Candace (Walcott) Joslin, wife of John Gaines Joslin b. 1794, Pittstown, N.Y. According to notes left by Dr. Clark Joslin (my g-g-grandfather), Charles Walcott 'lived a bachelor all his life, and died...at the house of my brother Thurston Joslin, one mile east of Fairview, Iowa. He was buried in the northeast corner of my lot...of the Riverside Cemetery at Anamosa, Iowa.' According to other family correspondence in my possession, dated 1958, 'Charles Walcott, Candace' brother, was a herb doctor. He died in Jones county and is buried in the same lot with Candace. Dr. Jim [this was my g-grandfather, Dr. James M.D. Joslin] told me there was no marker and he took some foot markers that had been thrown away and marked it. I believe they would be taken out now.'
