Eldon's Obituary

Eldon Michael Curry, Jr., 57, of 815  Orchard Street, died Saturday, October 9, 1999, at his home of cancer.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at The George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium

Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin.

Mr. Curry was born February 23, 1942, in Iowa City, to Eldon Mathias Curry Sr. and Ruby Beatrice Kasparek.  He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1960.  He was self-employed, restoring automobiles and also restoring antique and collectible cars for the last 20 years.

He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Goodguys Car Club, Late Great Chevrolet Club and Plymouth Owners Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacquelyn Richerson and her husband, Allen, of Solon, Kimberly Fosdyck and her husband, Darryl, of Estill Springs, Tenn., Rhonda Lipsius and her husband, Mark, of Iowa City; one son, Alan Curry and his wife, Candace, of Iowa City;  two aunts, Marie Colony of Coralville, Irma Meka of Solon; his fiancée, Gayle Widener of Toledo; her son, Dru Widener of West Union; her daughter, Shelly’s three children; and six grandchildren.

His parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins died earlier.
