Discontinued and Renamed Post Offices

This information comes from a book by Guy Reed Ramsey titled "Postmarked Iowa: A List of Discontinued and Renamed Post Offices" from 1976.  It contains information for all the Iowa counties.  I have listed some of the information for Jackson county below.  Some of the post offices were closed and opened a few times before they were finally discontinued.  Some of the places were renamed, for example Carl Port eventually became Sabula.
