Men Entrain For Camp Pike
107 Respond To Country's Call Thursday
Were In Happy Mood
Left on 3:35 M. & St. L. Train South Thursday Afternoon
-- Large Crowd and Procession.
One Hundred and seven men from Humboldt county took
the M. & St. L. train south, Thursday afternoon, for
Camp Pike, Arkansas, where they will train for their
country's service. The men were given an excellent
dinner by the Red Cross and Commercial club, were
presented with souvenirs, and given every attention that
has heretofore been bestowed on United States army men.
Owing to the fact that the entertainment came at
the press hour of this paper, the description of events
are necessarily somewhat curtailed. However, you may be
sure Humboldt county left nothing undone to show her
appreciation of the boys who go, who are to go, or who
are at the front.
