GARY, IL -- Elna Muriel Walke, 78, Cary, IL and formerly of New Hampton, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001 at the Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, IL.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL.

Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL.

visitation was from 1-5 .m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at the chneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home in Woodstock, IL.

She was born Aug. 12, 1923 in New Hampton, the daughter of Charles Douglas and Clara Muriel (Borlaug) Cochran. She married Verland Walke on June 24,1951 in Omaha, NE.

Surviving are her husband, Verland Walke, Cary; three sons, Mark (Terry) Walke, Cary, Robert (Sylvia) Walke, Westlake Village, CA, Richard (Karen) Walke, Hawthorn Woods, IL; seven grandchildren; a brother, Donald Cochran, Willeyton, NC.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Oliver Cochran.
