A funeral liturgy service for Harold E. Weaver, 72, of Tama, was held Monday, April 9, 2001 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama with Father Keith Birch officiating, with interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama.

Harold died Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center due to a short illness.

Harold was born June 17, 1928 in rural Riceville, Iowa, the son of Lennie and Winnifred Woolery Weaver. On January 15, 1953 he was united in marriage to Myrna McGrane in Elma, Iowa. After living in Des Moines for a short period of time, the couple moved to Tama. Harold was a service repairman and retired from the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company after 22 years of service.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents; a son Patrick; and a brother Donald.

He is survived by his wife Myrna of Tama; a daughter Clara Boldt and husband Fred of Toledo; two sons, A1 and wife Connie of Gilman, and Chuck of Tama; a sister Bethel Granahan of Burlington, Wash.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established. Harrison Funeral Home of Tama handled arrangements.
