TESTROET, Marva Jean nee WEESE 1965 - 2001

LONGMONT, CO - Marva Jean Testroet, 36, of Longmont, CO, died Thursday, July 12 at Longmont United Hospital following an extended battle with cancer.

Marva was born January 1, 1965 in Raton, New Mexico, the daughter of Marvin D. and Charlene (Guadagnoli) Weese. She was a 1983 graduate of Longmont High School and a 1985 graduate of Parks College in Denver.

On May 27, 1989 she married Douglas J. Testroet in Longmont. The. co.uple lived in Aurora, Colorado, Wichita Falls, Texas and back to Longmont in 1998. Marva served in various capacities with her church in Aurora, primarily in Religious Education, then as an assistant director of a daycare center in Wichita Falls. Marva enjoyed reading, writing children's short stories, shopping, her children's activities and her quiet time at home.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic    Church with Reverend Al Muniz as Celebrant. Entombment will be in the Longmont Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum.

Recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 at Howe Mortuary Chapel, Longmont.

Survivors include her husband Douglas and their children Nicholas, Nolan and Jayne Testroet; her parents: Marvin and Charlene Weese, and her brother Wade Allen Weese, all of Longmont, CO; her father-in-law, James Testroet of Ionia, sister and brother-in-laws Dan and Peg > Testroet, New Hampton; Diane ..ahcj ;Pd Ru#aml;.F£sad£na, Maryland; David and Allyn Testroet, Rocky Mount, NC; Denise and Jeff Gorden, Port O Range, FL; 5 nephews, 2 nieces, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Preceding her in death was her brother Donald Charles Weese in 1992, her grandparents Gina and Charles Guadagnoli, Esther and Donald Weese, her mother-in-law Jane Testroet and her aunt and uncle Dora and Reg Sander.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, C/O Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501.
