Edmund T. Tenge, 90, North Washington, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton pf natural causes.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, North Washington with Rev. John Hemann presiding. The pall was placed on the casket by his wife and children. Offertory gifts were presented by granddaughters, Rachelle Corkery, Regina Fangman, Lisa Flick and Tammy Flick. Music for the service was provided by Jane Karels as organist and the Immaculate Conception Men's Choir. Brenda Tenge was Lector.

Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Washington with grandsons, Kevin Tenge, Gary Tenge, Robert Tenge, Craig Rosauer, Ryan Tenge and Kendall Rosauer as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Catholic Order of Foresters, Norbert Blocker, Louis Zeien, LaVern Hilsman, Virgil Hilsman, Reynold Schwickerath and Bob Burgart.

Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton with a 4 p.m. Catholic Order of Forester Rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture Service.

Edmund was born in North Washington on Dec. 1,1910, the son of Albert and Mary (Bach) Tenge. He received his education at St. Mary's School in North Washington. On Feb. 8, 1937 he married Magdalena Wegner at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Ionia. Edmund and Magdalene farmed for over 32 years, retiring and moving into North Washington where they currently " resided. Following his retirement, Edmund's hobby was to build toys. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, dancing and traveling. Edmund was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters since 1934.

Survivors include his wife, Magdalena; five sons, Vincent (Patricia) Tenge, North Washington, Wayne (Darlene) Tenge, New Hampton, Everett (Diane) Tenge, Alta Vista, Dale (Diane Hack-man) Tenge, Bassett and Richard Tenge, North Washington; two daughters, Carolyn (Jack) Rosauer, New Hampton and Linda Schlindwein (Bob), Arizona; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Clara) Tenge and Reynold (Irma) Tenge, North Washington and one sister, Rita (Bob) Baumgartner, Gilbertville.

Pereceding him in death were his parents and three brothers John, Joe and Norbert Tenge.
