Funeral services for Carl Sommer of Forest City were held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City. Rev. Lee Laaveg officiating. Interment was in Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City. Petersen Lund Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Carl, 73, died Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City.
