INGRAM, TX - Lena W. Soukup, 85, Ingram, TX, wife of Cyril J. Soukup formerly of New Hampton, died Wednesday, Aug;. 1,2001 in Texas.

Tuneral services were held Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Frankie Enloe officiating.

Interment was at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Fort Sam Houston NationalCemetery, San Antonio,, TX_;

Visitation was from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 prior to the services at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 9,1916 in Coleman County, TX to James L. and Etta Lee (Jones) Wilkerson. She was a former longtime resident of the San Francisco, CA Bay area and was a resident of Kerr County, TX since 1986. Lena was a member of the Church of Christ. She and her husband, Cyril had been married for 54 years.

Surviving are her husband, Cyril "Cy” Soukup, Ingram, TX; a son, Forrest Eugene Ford, Fredericksburg, TX; four grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Dansby and Ann Williams, Tolar, TX; a brother, Wilmut Wilkerson, Big Spring, TX; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Bearman, New Hampton.
