WATERLOO - Delphin J. Sinnwell, 79, Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 200T at Parkview Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at St. Edward Catholic Church.

Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery, Central City.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball Avenue with a 7 p.m. Prayer Vigil and also one hour prior to services at the church.

Delphin was born on Dec. 9, 1921 in Roseville, the son of William J. and Elizabeth E. (Arnholt) Sinnwell. He married Mildred E. Goings-Heaton on Aug. 25, 1962 in Webster City. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during WWII, owned his own barbershop in Ionia for several years ana was employed at White Manufacturing, Charles City retiring in 1983. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4069 in Alta Vista.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald G. Heaton, Farley and Richard L. Heaton, Santa Barbara, CA; one daughter, Geraldine Stratton, Waterloo; one brother, Myron J. Sinnwell, Jobstown, NJ; two sisters, Junilla Kuehn and Kathleen Laures, both of New Hampton; nine grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wire, Mildred, in 1998; one brother, Cyril Sinnwell and one sister, Sister Armella.
