BYRON, MN - Helen L. Shinn, 80, Byron, MN, formerly of New Hampton, died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Olmsted Community Hospital, Rochester, MN of natural causes.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 3 at Christ Lutheran Church, Byron, with Pastor Mark Helgeland officiating.

Burial was at New Hampton Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday and an hour before services on Tuesday.

Helen L. (Rahlf) Shinn was born May 30, 1921 in Chickasaw County. She was married to Earl Aegerter in New Hampton in 1938. He died in 1939. She,married Edwin W. Hennings April 23, 1941 at The Little Brown Church, Nashua; he died in 1975. She married Russell Shinn Oct. 23, 1978 at The Little Brown Church, Nashua; he died in 1990. Mrs. Shinn was born and grew up in the New Hampton area. During her marriage to Henning they owned and operated an implement dealership in New Hampton. She continued to live in the New Hampton area until 1992 when she moved to Byron. She was a member of the Byron Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty McKee, Bircnwood, WI, Karen Wass, Annapolis, MD and Sandra (William) Miller, Byron; one son, Dave (Maria) Henning, West Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were three husbands; one son, Earl Aegerter, Jr.; six brothers and three sisters.

Arrangements handled by Dibble Funeral Home, Kasson, MN.
