REETZ, Carlton Fredrick Sr. 1910 - 2001

CHARLES CITY - Carlton F. Reetz, 90, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home, Charles City.

Funeral Services were'2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City with Rev. A.C. Wegner, Jr., pastor of the Faith Bible Chapel, Charles City officiating

Burial was in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City.

Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 and Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until service time.

Carlson Fredrick Reetz, Sr. was born Dec. 23, 1910 in Floyd County, the son of Carl and Agusta (Yuck) Reetz. He received his education in country schools and in 1927, he and Darlien Phillips were married in Galena, IL. They later divorced. On Aug. 18, 1979, he and Elaine O'Connor Ohm were married. He worked in the foundry at the Oliver Corp. and White Farm Equipment for 28 1/2 years. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, cutting wood, gardening, hunting and making loom rugs.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Boggess, Charles City; two sons, Carlton Reetz, Jr., Bassett and Jim Reetz, South Bend, IN; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wives, Darlien and Elaine and a daughter, Sharon Sadler.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, Charles City site.
