Theo Osborn, 82, services held

Funeral services for Theo Osborn of Willmar and formerly of Spencer were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18 at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Wendy Van Tassell officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., today, Wednesday, September 19 at the Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home. Peterson Brothers Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.

Theo, 82, died Friday, September 14, 2001 at the Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home.

Theo B. Osborn was born June 19, 1919 in Garrison, the daughter of David and Elsa (LaGrange) Flickenger. She grew up in Garrison and La Porte City, graduating from La Porte City High School in 1937.

On December 25, 1937 she married Manford E. “Ozzie” Osborn. Theo attended cosmetology school in Waterloo and was self employed as a beautician. She also worked in sales at Nelson’s Jewelry in Spencer for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Congregational Church in Spencer and Cresco. Following a stroke in 1996, she moved to Willmar and lived at the Centennial Square Apartments.

Theo enjoyed jokes and laughter, watching the birds, decorating her apartment and arranging flowers. She had a fond love of her golf game.

She is survived by one daughter: Dena Eichelberger of Willmar, MN; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and two step greatgrandchildren; and one brother: Dean of La Porte City.

Theo was preceded in death by her husband Ozzie in 1990; one son: Bob in 1988; one great-granddaughter Savanah in 1997; her parents; and two brothers: Bill and Mel.
